Dorothy and Jacq at Pilates Lifestyle and Wellbeing offer both Mat and Reformer classes in a clean, air-conditioned setting. The small sized classes are always well organised with a variety of exercised using a large breadth of ancillary equipment to keep things fun and interesting. This also allows the instructors to offer variations to each exercise that can target the skill level of each participant and focus on personalised corrections of position and technique.

I had been enthusiastically participating in Mat and Reformer classes at the Pilates Lifestyle and Wellbeing studio for many years and my fitness had never been so good!

During the pandemic I suffered a major health setback which hindered my mobility. I have recently re-engaged with the studio and with Dorothy, who is working with me to rebuild my health and fitness.

Dorothy's vast experience and attention to detail in developing a suitable program for my needs makes me feel confident I will achieve my goals.

I look forward to getting back to group classes in the future as I enjoyed them so much especially as they weren't too large, ensuring I still received the personal attention I was looking for.

If you want a QUALITY teacher of Pilates - Dorothy of ( Pilates & Wellbeing) is your teacher.

She has dedicated her life to training & improving her skills.

She has a plethora of knowledge about the human body, that others do not --- in my experience!

Over our lives we use our bodies in unconscious ways resulting in discomfort & pain .I have had many problems - my back/lumbar, knees, shoulders, neck, feet etc.

Currently I am pain free, to a large extent as a result of Dorothy's guidance .Her skills have also helped to change my body's structure, which is much to my advantage.

 I do two classes each week, which is the minimum to achieve results. She has been my teacher for 14 years.

Now - I am seventy five years & feel strong & healthy. I stand erect with no pain - continuum from the tips of my toes to the crown of my head.

I highly recommend Dorothy to all who want to have a strong body - because I know - I am a living example.

Pilates with Dorothy is amazing!!

Why?

I find that Pilates helps strengthen every part of your body, especially your core muscles and mine have been awakened and activated once again thanks to Dorothy. Plus having an ex Ballet Dancer – Dorothy who is so knowledgeable and attuned to strength building, resistance training and the multitude of methods to apply various movements to realign posture, and improve muscle memory is awesome.

Pilates has changed my life.

I’ve been (and still am) a gym goer for a long time focussing on weights and cardio fitness. Then I had back issues and went to see Dorothy for one on one sessions which taught me so much about body awareness and correcting life long habits. Now I go to weekly mat group classes, with the lovely Jac, and believe Jac’s classes are beneficial to my whole well being. Necessary maintenance to keep my body in good health so I can enjoy all the things I love to do.
